G P Mason’s charges are 100 per cent transparent with no hidden charges.
Our Vans have Trackers so you can be assured that you are only charged for the time spent relating to your works.
There is a minimum charge of one hour on all jobs, thereafter work is charged in 30 minute increments.
The first hour may include some travel time to get to your location.
If we attend on a same day call out the first hour is charged at a higher rate.
All rates exclude the cost of materials, unless specified that it is included, and are subject to VAT .
We are happy to make an appointment to give a no obligation written estimate with a prompt response & to further discuss those works when you receive the estimate.
Electrical Installation Condition Reports (Periodic Inspections):
Our charges for Domestic Periodic Inspections are £150 for up to 6 circuits and £180 for up to 12 circuits plus VAT.
If you require a Periodic Inspection for a prospective house purchase, we do require payment before the inspection is carried out – this is the only item of work we ask for payment prior to works commencing.
Commercial and Industrial Periodic Inspections are charged per circuit/fuseway please contact our office to arrange a no obligation written estimate. An idea of quantity of fuse ways is needed, alternatively one of our engineers will arrange to visit.
Portable Appliance Testing:
We charge from £2.20 per item – which varies with quantity and accessibility (however, there is a minimum charge of £65 to cover the cost of travel and producing the PAT Certificate) – please contact our office to arrange a no obligation written estimate.
All rates are subject to VAT.
Materials supplied by G P Mason Electrical Limited will never be charged more than trade price plus 20% mark up.
A printed invoice will always be produced clearly showing a description of work carried out and the cost of Labour and materials used.
Fully itemised breakdowns of Labour and Materials can be produced upon request (a small admin fee may be applied).
Payment must be made in full by electronic banking, cheque or cash to our registered office within 30 days of the date of invoice (as per our terms and conditions)
Payments can be made by BACS / Online Banking and our bank details can be found on our invoices.
